Alexis Yackley of Sully Buttes was named Miss Basketball in South Dakota. Yackley is headed to Iowa State in the fall.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jasmine Dittrich of Rochester JM has been named athlete of the week KTTC for her track exploits. Dittrich played girls basketball for JM this winter.

ACADEMIC HONORS
Wayne State Michigan had two women's basketball players named to GLIAC All-Academic team: Nicole Rogers of Lansing Everett and Chastidy Miller of Waterford Kettering.

CITY HONORS
The Des Moines City Council honored members of the Drake men's and women's basketball teams yesterday proclaiming 2007-08 the "Year of the Bulldog"
