This game took place Friday, April 25
MINNESOTA SEEDING TOURNAMENT
at Bloomington Kennedy
15 pool play
MN SUNS ARBOGAST 50, MN STARS CARLISLE 42

In a reprise of the Stars vs Suns it was the Suns that prevailed this time in another rock 'em, sock 'em highly energized game. This time it was the 15s (2010s and 11s with a few 12s).

This game had many lead changes and intense action inside. The Suns led 6-3 early with Jade Geif providing four of the points. The Suns had a seven possession drought in which the Stars had an 8-2 run. The widest MSC lead came at 18-11 after a three by Kelly Stewart. The inside punch of Cara Lutes and Geif pushed the Suns back into the fray with six points to make it 20-17 Stars. The Suns completed the half with a three by Steph Davison that tied the game at 26.

The game was tied up four more times in the second half as neither team could shake the other. Early in the half droughts prevailed with the Suns going eights straight trips without scoring. The ball handling/passing decisions get a little tougher with increased defensive heat. The Stars had a couple of leads in the half, all one point. Kahla Becken scored in transition to give the Stars their last lead at 39-38. She had an &1 opportunity, but the free throw was missed. On the next Suns possession Erica Trabing made two free throws after getting an offensive rebound. The next Sun possession Davison scored to make it 42-39. Stewart knocked down another three to tie the game up at 42. The Suns finished the game with four straight scoring possessions, all eight points at the line.
